1. Check the condition of the belt and the correct installation of the belt in the pulley grooves.

2. Check the belt tension Press the belt at the location shown in the figure with a force of 98 N (10 kgf) and measure the drive belt deflection. Drive belt deflection:

• New:
• 4A-FE, 7A-FE: 6.0-7.0 mm
• 3S-FE: 6.0-9.0 mm
• Previously in use:
• 4A-FE, 7A-FE: 8.5-9.5 mm
• 3S-FE: 9.0-11mm
