Relay test (4A-FE and 7A-FE)
1. Relay check.
- A) Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between the terminals *3" And "4" (type A) or "3" And "4" (type B).
- b) Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between the terminals "1" And "2" (type A) or "3" And "5'' (type B). If the conductivity does not match the above, replace the relay.
4A-FE (types A and B) and 7A-FE (type A) | 4A-FE and 7A-FE (type A starter) |
4A-FE (type B starter)
2. Checking the operation of the relay.
- A) Lead to conclusions "3" And "4" (type A) or "1" And "2" (type B) battery voltage
- b) Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between the terminals "1" And "2" (type A) or "3" And "5" (type B). If the conductivity does not match the above, replace the relay.
Relay test (3S-FE, 4S-FE, 2C, 2C-T)
1. Remove the relay box cover.
2. Remove the starter relay.
3. Relay check.
- A) Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between the terminals "1" And "2".
- b) Using an ohmmeter, verify that there is no continuity between the leads "3" And "5".
If the conductivity does not match the above, replace the relay.
4. Checking the operation of the relay.
- A) Lead to conclusions "1" And "2" battery voltage.
- b) Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between the leads "3" And "5".
If the conductivity does not match the above, replace the relay.
5. Reinstall the relay.
6. Install the relay box cover.
