If there is no continuity, replace the glow plug.
(RS-T) Measure the voltage between the glow plug terminal and its body. Rated voltage - 0.72 Ohm. In case of malfunction, replace the glow plug.
Note:
- Be careful not to damage the glow plug housing, as this can lead to an open circuit and shorten the life of the plugs.
- Avoid getting oil and fuel on the positive lead of the spark plug when cleaning.
- When checking, be sure to remove all oil from the glow plug lead and Bakelite washer with a dry cloth.
- Do not apply more than 7V as this may cause the target to open.
Checking the glow plug resistor
Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between the resistor terminals.
If there is no continuity, replace the resistor.
Checking the coolant temperature sensor
Note: check the coolant temperature sensor, see section "Petrol engine control".
