1. Checking the relay.

a) Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between terminals "1" and "2".

b) Using an ohmmeter, make sure there is no continuity between terminals "3" and "4".

If the conductivity is not as specified above, replace the relay.



2. Checking the operation of the relay.

a) Connect the battery voltage to terminals "1" and "2".

b) Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between terminals "3" and "4".

If the conductivity does not match the above, replace the relay.
