Spark generation check [Toyota Corona T190]

1. Disconnect the high-voltage wires from the spark plugs.

2. Remove the spark plugs and reconnect the high-voltage wires to them.

3. (3S-FE, 3S-GE, 4A-FE, 4S-FE, 5E-FE and 7A-FE serial version) Ground (connect to ground) the spark plug housings.

(4A-FE with Lean bum system) Move the ends of the wires to a distance of 12.5 mm from the "ground" (car body).

Check for sparking when turning the engine over with the starter.

Note: To prevent a significant amount of fuel from entering the engine cylinders from operating injectors, the test should be carried out for no more than 1-2 seconds.
