Distributor of the ignition system: 1 - distributor housing assembly, 2 - distributor rotor, 3 - distributor cap O-ring, 4 - distributor cap
Removing
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the high voltage wires from the distributor cap (see above "Removing and checking high-voltage wires").
3. Disconnect the distributor connector.
4. Having unscrewed two clamping bolts, remove (pull out) distributor, then separate the O-ring seal from the distributor body.
Disassembly
1. Remove the ignition distributor cover and gasket by unscrewing 3 bolts.
2. Remove the ignition distributor rotor.
Examination
Rotate the distributor drive shaft, making sure that neither binding nor noticeable play is observed. Otherwise, replace the distributor housing as an assembly.
Assembly
1. Install the distributor rotor, first aligning the recess on the angle pulse sensor rotor with the protrusion on the ignition distributor rotor.
Then fix the ignition distributor rotor with two screws.
2. Install the distributor cap on the distributor body using a new O-ring, -
Then secure the distributor cap with two bolts.
Installation
1. Set the piston of the first cylinder to the TDC of the end of the compression stroke:
- A) Turn the crankshaft clockwise and set the inlet camshaft spline to the position shown in the figure.
2. Install the distributor.
- A) Install a new O-ring under the distributor housing and apply a thin layer of fresh engine oil to it.
- 6) Align the groove on the coupling with the protrusion on the distributor body.
- V) Insert the distributor by centering its mounting flange with the mounting hole in the cylinder head and aligning the holes in the distributor flange with the holes for the mounting bolts in the cylinder head.
- G) Lightly tighten the two hold-down bolts.
- d) Clip holder (clamp) high voltage wires with a bolt.
3. Connect the high voltage wires to the spark plugs in accordance with the engine running order: 1-3-4-2.
4. Connect the distributor connector.
5. Connect the wire to the negative
6. Adjust ignition timing (see subsection "Ignition timing adjustment" and section "Maintenance and general inspection and adjustment procedures").
8. After adjusting the ignition timing, finally tighten the clamping bolts of the distributor housing. Tightening torque: 20 Nm.
