2. Remove the drive belt (see chapter 1). Unscrew the bolts, remove the bracket from the jet thrust of the engine (see paragraph 17).
3. Apply the parking brake. Move the selector lever to position «R» (Automatic transmission) or turn on the transmission (Manual Transmission). Loosen the right front wheel nuts. Raise the front of the car and place secure supports under it. Remove the lower engine cover (rice. 6.5), right front wheel and matching locker.
Attention! If the vehicle is equipped with electronically controlled air suspension, turn off the suspension height control switch.
4. Turn out a bolt from a forward end face of a cranked shaft. Since the bolt is too tight, an extension may be required. To keep the crankshaft from turning when the pulley bolt is released, you can install a puller base and several spacers on the center hub. Before installing the puller, install a socket on the head of the crankshaft bolt, and then insert the extension through the center hole in the puller (pic. 11.4).

5. Using a puller that bolts to the crankshaft hub, remove the pulley from the crankshaft (pic. 11.5).
Note. Depending on the type of puller, it may be necessary to support the engine from above. Remove the right engine mount and lower the engine to give enough room to use the puller.

Warning. Do not use a clamp type puller. It causes damage to the pulley/damper. Also, use a suitable adapter to prevent damage to the end of the crankshaft.
6. To install the crankshaft pulley, push the pulley all the way onto the crankshaft, and then, using the damper installation tool, press the pulley onto the crankshaft. Keep in mind that the groove in the hub must align with the key on the end of the crankshaft (pic. 11.6), and the crankshaft bolt can also be used to press the crankshaft pulley into place.

7. Tighten the crankshaft bolt to the specified torque specified in Specifications at the beginning of this chapter.
8. The rest of the installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
