Removing
Remove the intake manifold on a cold engine in the following order:
- relieve pressure in the fuel system;
- turn off the ignition and disconnect the wire «masses» from the storage battery;
- remove the air intake pipe and resonator;
- remove the hood and casing of the ventilation chamber located at the base of the windshield;
- remove the fuel distribution line assembly with injectors;
- remove the throttle linkage and throttle assembly from the intake manifold;
- tag and disconnect crankcase ventilation valve (PCV), wiring harnesses and vacuum hoses from the rear of the intake manifold;
- raise the car on a lift. From under the car, unscrew the lower intake manifold mounting bolts;

- from above unscrew the top nuts and bolts of fastening (pic. 3.76) and remove the intake manifold.
Installation
Install in the following order:
- use a scraper to remove the remnants of the old gasket and sealant from the mating surfaces of the intake manifold and cylinder head, then clean the surfaces with a solvent;
- install a new gasket in the intake manifold groove. Install the manifold with gasket on the guide bushings of the cylinder head and secure with bolts and nuts. Tighten the bolts and nuts in several passes, starting from the center and then in a spiral, so as not to deform the intake manifold.
Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
Check the coolant level and top up if necessary.
Check all throttle body connections and throttle valve for smooth movement.
Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
Road test the vehicle and check the operation of all systems, including the cruise control system.
