Attention! If the manifold is disconnected only to remove the cylinder head, then unscrew the bolts and take it to the side without disconnecting the hoses and wires. The procedure for removing the manifold from the engine as a separate part is described below.
Removal and installation
1. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
2. Decompress the fuel system (see subsection 5.2).
3. Label and disconnect hoses (see subsection 5.4), throttle cable (see subsection 5.9) and remove the throttle body (see subsection 5.11.1) and equalization chamber (see subsection 5.11.5).
4. Remove the fuel distributor and injector (see subsection 5.11.4).
5. Label and disconnect the valve hoses from the recirculation and from the modulating vacuum valve. Unscrew the recirculation tube from the manifold.
6. Disconnect the ground wire from the collector, unscrew the bolts and nuts (indicated by arrows) remove manifold (first make sure that the fuel return pipe is disconnected from the cylinder head).
7. Clean the collector, check the condition of the split plane, grind if necessary.
8. Install a new gasket, install the manifold and tighten the bolts and nuts.
9. Tighten the bolts and nuts evenly, with the specified torque, moving from the center to the periphery.
10. Install the rest of the parts in reverse order.
11. Before starting the engine, check the smoothness of the throttle valve.
12. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks and vacuum connections.
13. Check the car on the road.
