Attention! If the manifold is disconnected only to remove the cylinder head, then unscrew the bolts and take it to the side without disconnecting the hoses and wires. The procedure for removing the manifold from the engine as a separate part is described below.
Removing
1. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
2. Decompress the fuel system (see subsection 5.2.2)
3. Designate and disconnect from a collector vacuum hoses.
4. Remove damper body (see subsection 5.2.9.2.1) and equalization chamber (see subsection 5.2.9.2.6).
5. Remove the fuel distributor and injector (see subsection 5.2.9.2.5).
6. Label and disconnect the hoses from the recirculation valve and from the modulating vacuum valve. Remove the recirculation tube from the manifold.
7. Disconnect the ground wire from the manifold (connection point is indicated by an arrow).
8. Remove bolts and nuts (indicated by arrows) and remove the manifold.
Attention! Working from underneath the vehicle, remove the wire clamps, lower bolts, and 2 nuts securing the pair of steel tubes to the manifold.
Installation
1. Clean the collector, check the condition of the split plane, grind if necessary.
2. Install a new gasket, install the manifold and tighten the bolts and nuts.
3. Tighten the bolts and nuts evenly, with the specified torque, moving from the center to the periphery.
4. Install the rest of the parts in reverse order.
5. Before starting the engine, check the freedom of movement of the throttle cable.
6. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks and vacuum connections.
7. Check the car on the road.
