1. When inspecting the battery, check: the absence of rust on the battery bracket, the strength of the battery terminals, the absence of corrosion and damage to the terminals, the absence of damage and leaks in the battery case.

2. Check the battery.

a) Using a hydrometer, check the density of the electrolyte in each cell of the battery.
  • Normal electrolyte density is 1.25 - 1.27 at 20°C

Add distilled water if necessary. If the electrolyte density does not meet the specifications after charging the battery, replace the battery.

b) The check is carried out after the vehicle has stopped moving and no later than 20 minutes after the engine has stopped.

Turn on the ignition ("ON") and electrical consumers (headlights, fan, rear fog lights) for 60 seconds to remove surface charge.

Turn off the ignition ("OFF") and electrical consumers, measure the voltage between the negative (-) and positive (+) terminals of the battery.
  • Nominal voltage (at 20°C) - 12.5-12.9 V

If the voltage is less than the nominal value, charge the battery.

3. Check the fuse links with a tester to ensure they are working properly and ensure conductivity (short circuit) on their conclusions.

a) Check the strength of the battery terminals and the absence of corrosion.

b) Make sure the fuse link and fuses are intact.
