Removing
1. Drain the coolant.
2. Drain the engine oil.
3. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
4. Remove the front right wheel.
5. Remove the lower engine protection.
6. (Models with manual transmission) Disconnect the clutch master cylinder from the transmission.
7. Disconnect the right tie rod end from the steering knuckle.
8. Disconnect the bottom right lever from a rotary fist.
9. (4WD Models) Disconnect the front right drive shaft from the transfer case.
10. (4WD Models) Loosen the transfer box mounting bolts and jack it up. Move the transfer case towards the left side of the vehicle.
11. Through the service holes at the bottom of the transmission, remove the two bolts securing the rear of the oil pan.
Removal and installation of the oil pallet (KZ series).
1 - oil filter,
2 - oil filter bracket,
3 - ring seal,
4 - oil dipstick,
5 - drain plug,
6 - oil pan No. 1,
7 - oil pan No. 2,
8 - oil receiver,
9 - gasket.
12. Remove the oil pan.
A) Turn out bolts and nuts of fastening of the oil pallet.
b) Insert the tool blade between the crankcase and sump. Cut off the sealant and remove the pan.
Installation
1. Install the oil pan.
A) Remove sealant residue from mating surfaces. Use a solvent to remove traces of dirt and oil.
b) Apply sealant to the oil pan as shown.
V) Establish the pallet on the block of cylinders.
Note: The oil sump must be installed within the time specified in the sealant instructions for use, otherwise the sump must be removed, the sealant cleaned and reapplied.
2. Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly.
