Checking oil pressure [Toyota Dyna Y50]

1. Check the engine oil. Check the oil for contamination, water, discoloration and dilution. If the oil quality is not satisfactory, change the oil. Use oils (according to API classification) classes CC, CD with recommended viscosity.



2. Check the engine oil level. The oil level should be between the "L" and "F" marks on the dipstick. If the level is below the lower limit, check for leaks and add oil to the "F" mark.



3. Remove the oil pressure sensor.

4. Install the pressure gauge.



5. Warm up the engine. Wait until the engine reaches operating temperature.

6. Check the oil pressure. Oil pressure:
  • At idle speed - not less than 0.3 kg/cm², (29 kPa)
  • At 3000 rpm - 3.0-5.5 kg/cm², (294-539 kPa)

7. Install the oil pressure sensor. Apply LOCTITE 242 to two or three threads.

8. Start the engine and check for leaks.
