1. Check the toe-in value. Toe-in during checking:

If the toe-in does not meet the specified conditions, make adjustments by changing the length of the lower suspension arms No.2.

Note: on some models, the rear wheel alignment is adjusted using eccentrics (see the assembly drawing "Rear suspension (Station wagon)").

Toe-in adjustment:

  • a) Measure the length of the left and right lower control arms of suspension No.2.

The measurement difference is less than 1 mm. If the measurement difference between the right and left exceeds 1 mm, follow the adjustment procedure below.

  • b) Loosen the locknuts.
  • c) When adjusting the toe-in, turn the left and right adjusting tubes by the same amount.

Note: Toe-in changes approximately 0.9° when the adjustment tube is turned one notch on either side.

  • d) Tighten the locknuts. Tightening torque 56 Nm.

3. Check the rear wheel alignment. Camber:

Models up to 96:
  • Sedan:
    • With reinforced suspension: -0°40'i45'
    • Others: -0°35'±45'
  • Station wagon:
    • With reinforced suspension: -0°05'±45'
    • Others: -0°20'±45'

Models since 1996:
  • 2WD: -0°40'±45'
  • 4WD: -0°35'±45'

The difference in camber between the right and left wheels is less than 30'.

Note: The camber of the rear wheels is not adjustable, so if this value does not correspond to the specified conditions, it is necessary to replace the faulty suspension parts.
