If the toe-in does not meet the specified conditions, adjust by changing the length of the No. 2 lower suspension arms.
Note' on some models, the adjustment of the rear wheel toe-in is carried out by eccentrics (see assembly drawing "rear suspension (station wagon) ").
Toe-in when adjusting:
- A) Measure the length of the left and right No. 2 lower control arms.
The measurement difference is less than 1 mm. If the measurement difference between the right and left exceeds 1 mm, follow the adjustment procedure below.
- b) Loosen locknuts.
- V) When adjusting the toe, turn the left and right adjusting tubes by the same amount.
Note: The toe-in changes by approximately 0.9°when the adjusting tube is turned one notch on both sides.
- G) Tighten locknuts. Tightening torque 56 Nm.
3. Check rear camber. Camber:
Models up to 96:
- Sedan:
- With reinforced suspension: -0°40'i45'
- Others: -0°35'±45'
- Wagon:
- With reinforced suspension: -0°05'±45'
- Others: -0°20'±45'
Models since 96:
- 2WD: -0°40'±45'
- 4WD: -0°35'±45'
Camber difference between right and left wheels: less than 30'.
Note: the rear camber is not adjustable, so if this value does not meet the specified conditions, it is necessary to replace the defective suspension parts.
