Note: check and adjust the wheel alignment angles on a flat, horizontal surface.
Convergence check
Note: The vehicle must be unloaded during the test.
1. Rock the car up and down to stabilize the suspension.
2. Roll the vehicle forward about 5 meters on level ground with the front wheels straight ahead.
Note: Make sure the pad is long enough to carry out the test.
3. Mark the center of the tread on the back of the front wheels.
4. Measure the distance "A" between the marks on the left and right tires.
5. Roll the vehicle forward so that the wheels turn 180°and the marks on the rear of the wheels are at the height of the gauge in front.
Attention: if, when rolling the car, the marks are below the level of the meter, repeat the procedure from the beginning.
6. Measure the distance "IN" between the marks of the right and left wheels in front.
7. Calculate convergence.
- Convergence = A-B
- Convergence - 0±2 mm
If the amount of convergence does not correspond to the nominal value, make an adjustment.
Toe adjustment
1. Loosen the lock nuts on the tie rod ends.
2. If the difference in the length of the protruding part of the thread of the rods on the left and on the right differs from the nominal, make the adjustment.
3. Tighten the locknuts of the tie rod ends.
- Tightening torque - 30 - 44 Nm
Note:
- Rotate the right and left traction by the same number of revolutions.
- Make sure that the lengths of the left and right tie rods are the same.
- Make sure the covers are not twisted.
Checking wheel angles
1. Install the car on the turntables as shown in the figure.
Attention:
- The test is carried out with the vehicle unloaded.
- The test is carried out with the brake pedal depressed.
- Before testing, remove the brake light fuse to avoid damage to the circuit and brake light bulbs.
2. Check wheel angles.
- External steering angle of wheels — 42°16'±2°
- The inner angle of rotation of the wheels — 34°39'±2°
3. If the angles of rotation of the wheels differ from the nominal, check and adjust the convergence.
Camber, pitch and roll check
Attention: check is made at the unloaded car.
1. Install the car on the turntables
2. Remove the decorative cap.
3. Install the adapter and gauge tool on the hub.
4. Install the pitch and roll camber gauge.
5. Check the camber of the front wheels, the longitudinal and transverse inclination of the axis of rotation.
- Camber — 0°00' +45'
- Pitch - 2°50' + 1°
- Roll axis lateral tilt - 11°26' +1°
6. Remove the device for measuring the camber of the longitudinal and transverse inclination of the axis of rotation, special tool and adapter.
7. Install the decorative cap.
Camber adjustment
1. Loosen the adjusting bolt nut.
2. Turn the adjusting bolt of the lower arm of the front suspension to adjust the camber.
3. Tighten the adjusting bolt nut.
- Tightening torque - 30 -44 Nm
