Note: Check and adjust wheel alignment angles on a flat, horizontal surface.

Checking the convergence

Note: The vehicle must be unloaded when performing the check.

1. Rock the car up and down to stabilize the suspension.

2. Roll the car forward approximately 5 meters on a horizontal surface, with the front wheels standing straight.

Note: Make sure the platform is long enough to perform the test.

3. Mark the center of the tread on the back of the front wheels.

4. Measure the distance "A" between the marks on the left and right tires.

5. Roll the vehicle forward so that the wheels turn 180° and the marks on the rear of the wheels are in front at the height of the gauge.

Note: If the marks are below the gauge level when the vehicle is rolled, repeat the procedure from the beginning.

6. Measure the distance "B" between the marks of the right and left wheels in front.

7. Calculate the convergence.
  • Convergence = A - B
  • Toe-in: 0 ±2 mm

If the toe-in value does not correspond to the nominal value, make adjustments.

Adjusting the toe-in

1. Loosen the tie rod end locknuts.

2. If the difference in the length of the protruding part of the thread of the rods on the left and right differs from the nominal value, make adjustments.

3. Tighten the tie rod end locknuts.
  • Tightening torque - 30 - 44 Nm

Note:
  • Rotate the right and left rods the same number of revolutions.
  • Make sure the lengths of the left and right tie rods are the same.
  • Make sure the covers are not twisted.

Checking the wheel turning angles

1. Place the vehicle on the swivel wheels as shown in the figure.

Attention:
  • The test is carried out with the vehicle unloaded.
  • The check is performed with the brake pedal pressed.
  • Before checking, remove the brake light fuse to avoid damaging the brake light circuit and bulbs.

2. Check the wheel turning angles.

  • External wheel turning angle - 42°16' ±2°
  • Inner wheel turning angle - 34°39'±2°

3. If the wheel turning angles differ from the nominal ones, check and adjust the toe-in.

Checking the camber, longitudinal and transverse tilt of the steering axes

Note: the check is performed with the vehicle unloaded.

1. Place the vehicle on swivel wheels

2. Remove the decorative cap.

3. Install the adapter and special device of the measuring device on the hub.

4. Install the device for measuring the camber and lateral tilt of the steering axis.

5. Check the camber of the front wheels, longitudinal and lateral tilt of the steering axis.
  • Camber — 0°00' +45'
  • Longitudinal tilt of the pivot axis - 2°50' + 1°
  • Transverse tilt of the pivot axis - 11°26' +1°

6. Remove the device for measuring the camber and lateral tilt of the steering axis, the special device and the adapter.

7. Install the decorative cap.

Camber adjustment

1. Loosen the adjusting bolt fastening nut.

2. Turn the adjusting bolt of the lower arm of the front suspension to adjust the camber value.

3. Tighten the adjusting bolt mounting nut.
  • Tightening torque - 30-44 Nm
