2. Disconnect the return hose from the expansion tank and drain the working fluid into a container.
3. With the engine idling, turn the steering wheel from lock to lock while draining the fluid.
4. Turn off the engine.
5. Fill the reservoir with fresh ATF DEXRON® II fluid.
6. Start the engine and set the crankshaft speed to 1000 rpm.
After 1-2 seconds, the working fluid will start to flow out of the return hose. At this point, immediately turn off the engine.
Caution: The tank must not be left empty.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 four or five times until there is no air left in the liquid.
8. Connect the return hose.
9. Bleed the power steering system.
