Note:
  • With a warm engine and warm power steering fluid, the level should be between the "MAX" and "MIN" marks of the "HOT" range on the tank.
  • With the engine unheated and the power steering fluid unheated, the level should be between the "MAX" and "MIN" marks of the "COLD" range on the tank.

3. Start the engine and set the idle speed.

4. Turn the steering wheel several times from lock to lock to increase the temperature of the working fluid to 80°C.

5. Check for foaming or emulsification of the liquid.

Note: Foaming or emulsifying fluid indicates either air in the system or low fluid level.

6. Check for an increase in fluid level.

a) Measure the fluid level with the engine running.

b) Turn off the engine, wait a few minutes and measure the fluid level.
  • Maximum increase in working fluid level - 5 mm
