(For vehicles equipped with an airbag)
1. Remove the steering wheel cover.
- a) Using the special tool, loosen the SRS fuse bolt.
- b) Using the special tool, loosen the four screws.
- c) Remove the steering wheel cover. Caution: Store the steering wheel cover with the front surface facing up.

2. Remove the steering wheel.
- a) Loosen the steering wheel mounting nut.
- b) Using the special tool, remove the steering wheel.
3. Install the steering wheel and steering wheel cover.
- a) Install the steering wheel and tighten the mounting nut. Tightening torque 35 Nm.
- b) Install the steering wheel trim, making sure the screws are removed as shown in the figure.

- c) Using the special tool, tighten the four screws. Tightening torque, 9.0 Nm.
- d) Using the special tool, tighten the SRS fuse bolt. Tightening torque is 9.0 Nm.
Caution: If the airbag has deployed, or there are cracks, dents or other defects on the surface of the pad, replace the pad with a new one.
(For vehicles not equipped with an airbag)
1. Remove the steering wheel.
- a) Loosen the screw at the bottom of the steering wheel trim Pull the trim up and remove it.
- b) Unscrew the steering wheel mounting nut.
- c) Using the special tool, remove the steering wheel.
