(For vehicles equipped with an airbag)
1. Remove the steering wheel pad.
- A) Using the special tool, loosen the SRS safety bolt.
- b) Using the special tool, loosen the four screws.
- V) Remove the steering wheel cover. Attention, store the steering wheel pad face up.
2. Remove the steering wheel.
- A) Loosen the steering wheel nut.
- b) Using the special tool, remove the steering wheel.
3. Install the steering wheel and steering wheel pad.
- A) Install the steering wheel and tighten the mounting nut. Tightening torque 35 Nm.
- b) Install the steering wheel pad, making sure the screws are turned out as shown in the illustration.
- V) Using the special tool, tighten the four screws. Tightening torque, 9.0 Nm.
- G) Using the special tool, tighten the SRS safety bolt. Tightening torque 9.0 Nm.
Attention: If the airbag has been deployed, or there are cracks, dents or other defects on the surface of the pad, replace the pad with a new one.
(For vehicles not equipped with an airbag)
1. Remove the steering wheel.
- A) Loosen the screw at the bottom of the steering wheel pad. Pull up the pad and remove it.
- b) Loosen the steering wheel nut.
- V) Using the special tool, remove the steering wheel.
