Removal
1. Remove the refrigerant from the system.
2. Remove the front bumper.
3. (KZ series engines)
Disconnect the air conditioning compressor.
Note: Do not damage the power steering pipes.
Installation
1. Install the compressor assembly with the electromagnetic clutch
Note:
- When replacing a compressor, the amount of compressor oil in the installed compressor must be equal to the amount of oil in the removed one.
- When the compressor is removed, some of the oil remains in the system tubes, so some of the oil must be removed from the new compressor so that its amount in the system remains normal.
- Excessive amount of compressor oil impairs heat exchange and can lead to malfunction of the air conditioning system.
- If the amount of oil in the removed compressor is low, check the system for leaks.
2. Install the drive belt and adjust its tension.
3. Install the remaining parts in the reverse order of removal.
4. Evacuate the system and charge the system with refrigerant. Check the system for leaks.
