If you get stuck in snow or mud, you may need to turn the system off or on, as the TRC system can either help or hinder your vehicle's control depending on the situation.
When the "TCS OFF" switch is pressed, the TCS system is switched off and the "TCS OFF" indicator lights up.

When the switch is pressed again, the TCS system is turned on and the "TCS OFF" indicator goes out.
In the following situations, there is a possibility that the TCS system is malfunctioning and you should contact your Toyota dealer immediately:
- if the indicators do not light up when the ignition is turned on;
- if the indicators do not go out after starting the engine;
- if the "TCS OFF" indicator flashes while driving (the "TCS OFF" switch is not pressed).
