Note:
- When removing and installing the gearbox, refer to the assembly drawing "Gearbox".
- Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- After installation, adjust the clutch pedal.
When removing, please pay attention to the following operations:
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Disconnect the speedometer drive cable.
3. Remove the engine wiring harness clamp.
4. Remove the upper radiator mounting bracket and secure the radiator.
Transmission.
1 - upper radiator mounting bracket,
2 - speedometer drive cable,
3 - ground wire,
4 - gearbox assembly,
5 - gearbox mounting amplifier,
6 - wiring harness,
7 - rack No.1,
8 - holder,
9 - main shaft hole cover,
10 - universal joint,
11 - rear support of the power unit,
12 - subframe.
5. Mark the intermediate steering column shaft and remove it.
6. Hang the engine on the hoist.

7. Remove the subframe:
a) Place the puller under the subframe.

b) Gradually lower the frame to the distance indicated in the figures.
Distance:
- Models up to 05.2000 - 110 mm
- Models from 05.2000 - 50 mm
Models before 05.2000.

c) Remove the rear support of the power unit.
8. Drain the oil from the gearbox.
9. Loosen the bolts securing the rear support of the power unit.
10. Loosen the steering gear bracket mounting bolts.
