Disassembling drive shafts (2WD models with automatic transmission) [Toyota Duet M100]

1. Remove the inner joint dust boot clamps.

Note: Do not damage the boot.

2. Lower the dust cover.

3. Remove the inner joint.

a) Remove grease from the joint.

b) Apply marks to the outer race of the joint and to the shaft.

Note: Do not mark with a sharp object.

c) Remove the outer race of the inner joint.

d) Remove the retaining ring.



d) Apply alignment marks to the T-joint and shaft.

Note: Do not mark with a sharp object.

e) Remove the triple joint from the shaft.

Note: Do not damage the hinge.

4. Remove the dust cover.

Note: Remove grease from the joint.

5. (Right drive shaft)

Using a screwdriver or pliers, remove the damper clamp, press down on the damper and remove it from the drive shaft.
