A) Check that there is no play on the outer hinge.
b) Check that the inner hinge slides smoothly in the direction of thrust.
V) Check that there is no noticeable radial play in the inner joint.
G) Check the integrity of the covers.
2. Remove hinge covers.
A) Unscrew the two clamps of the covers.
b) Remove covers.
3. Disconnect the race of the inner hinge, having previously applied installation marks on the race and the drive shaft.
Note: Do not make alignment marks with a sharp object.
4. Remove the triple joint.
A) Remove the snap ring.
b) Put alignment marks on the drive shaft and triple joint.
Note: Do not make alignment marks with a sharp object.
G) Using a copper rod and a hammer, remove the triple joint from the drive shaft.
Attention: do not drop the hinge when removing.
5. (4A-FE, 5A-FE, 2C (2WD), 3S-FE (4WD))
Remove the front driveshaft damper.
A) Remove clamp.
b) Remove damper and driveshaft clamp.
6. Remove hinge covers.
Caution: Do not disassemble the outer hinge.
A) Remove two clamps.
b) Remove the covers from the shaft.
V) Remove covers and two collars from a power shaft.

7 - retaining ring,

15 - damper,
16 - retaining ring,
17 - bearing,
18 - bearing holder,
19, 22 - anther,
20 - retaining ring,
21 - pin.
