A) Mark the yoke and driveshaft.
b) Disconnect the fork from the shaft.
2. Mark the yoke and flange.
3. Remove retaining rings.
A) Lightly tap the outer races of the bearings.
b) Using two screwdrivers, one by one remove the four circlips from their respective grooves.
4. Press the spider bearings out of the yoke.
5. Install new spider bearings.
A) Apply lubricant as shown.
Recommendation: Do not apply too much grease.
b) Align the marks on the yoke and flange.
Note: (Dyna 150) After installing the cross, make sure the grease fittings are positioned as shown.
V) Install the bearings on the cross.
G) Adjust both bearings so that the circlip grooves are maximum and equal in width.
6. Install retaining rings.
A) Fit two circlips of equal thickness to give an axial clearance between 0 and 0.05 mm.
Recommendation: Do not reuse circlips.
b) Using a hammer, lightly tap the fork until the gap between the bearing outer race and the circlip is eliminated.
7. Checking the cross bearing.
A) Make sure the spider bearing moves smoothly.
b) Check the axial play of the spider bearing.
- Axial play - less than 0.05 mm
Recommendation: New spider bearings should be installed from the shaft side according to the procedure described above.
8. (Dyna 150) Insert the fork into the cardan shaft.
A) Apply MP type grease to the contact between the yoke and the shaft.
b) Align the marks on the yoke and propeller shaft.
V) Insert the fork into the cardan shaft.
9. Install grease fittings.
