After each installation of new tires, the wheels must be balanced. Balancing is necessary to compensate for the uneven distribution of the mass of the tire material and inaccuracies in its dimensions.
When driving, unbalanced tires cause the vehicle to vibrate and yaw. As the speed increases, the steering wheel starts to tremble. As a rule, vibration appears in a certain range of speeds and disappears at speeds below or above this range.
Driving on unbalanced wheels can eventually damage the hinges, steering gear and suspension struts.
The wheels must be balanced every 20,000 km and after every tire repair, as this leads to a redistribution of tire weight.
