The tachometer shows the engine speed (the corresponding number multiplied by a thousand corresponds to the current crankshaft speed in revolutions per minute). Pay attention to the tachometer while driving to ensure you shift into the right gear in time and avoid driving at too high or too low engine speeds.



Driving at too high RPMs causes increased engine wear and unnecessary fuel consumption. Remember: the lower the engine speed, the greater the fuel economy.

The tachometer needle should not be in the red area. This can lead to serious engine malfunctions.
