Fuel gauge (vehicles without tachometer) [Toyota Corolla E80]

The fuel gauge operates when the ignition is on and shows the approximate amount of fuel remaining in the tank.

It is recommended that the fuel tank be kept at least a quarter full at all times.

The pointer moves when braking, accelerating or shaking. The reason is that the fuel in the tank changes its position.
