The system must be filled with a mixture (also in the warm season) from antifreeze and distilled water.
Note: The system can be filled with just clean water (especially in summer). But later it is necessary to add the appropriate amount of antifreeze to it.
The coolant level in a cold engine (liquid temperature +20°C) should be between the FULL and LOW marks in the expansion tank.
You should not wait until the coolant level reaches the minimum mark. The liquid must be added in advance.
Cold fluid should only be added to a cold engine to avoid engine damage.
Caution: Only the cap on the expansion tank may be opened. Do not open the cap on the radiator when the engine is hot. Open the cap on the expansion tank carefully when the engine is hot. There is a risk of scalding with hot water! Cover the cap with a rag. Open the cap when the coolant temperature is below +90°C.
Visually check the cooling system for leaks if the fluid level drops very quickly.
