General description of automatic transmission [Toyota Corolla E80]

The TOYOTA COROLLA can be equipped with an automatic transmission. The automatic transmission has 3 forward gears, which are engaged automatically. To enable accelerated movement, such as overtaking, the automatic transmission has a so-called Kick-down (over-gas) - a switch that is engaged when the gas pedal is fully pressed. The task of this switch is to delay the moment of gear shifting to a higher one to ensure maximum responsiveness during acceleration.
