The A241L, A241E and A245E automatic transmissions consist of a torque converter with a lock-up clutch, a 4-speed planetary gearbox, and a control system.
The A241L automatic transmission control system is purely hydraulic. The A241E and A245E automatic transmission control systems consist of hydraulic and electrical parts. The A241L, A241E and A245E transmissions are installed on vehicles with a transverse powertrain arrangement.
