Examination



1. Install the pressure gauge block.

2. Disconnect the connector from the pressure switch.



3. Set the engine speed to approximately 1500 rpm.

4. Check the operation of the switch.

Electromagnetic clutch control


  • a) Connect an ohmmeter between terminals "4" and "1".
  • b) Check that the conductivity between the terminals changes as the pressure changes, as shown in the figure.



Fan control


  • a) Connect an ohmmeter between terminals "2" and "3".
  • b) Check that the conductivity between the terminals changes as the pressure changes, as shown in the figure.


If the switch does not operate correctly, replace it.

5. Stop the engine and remove the pressure gauge block.

6. Connect the connector to the pressure switch.

Removal



1. Discharge the air conditioning system.

2. Disconnect the connector from the sensor.

3. Remove the pressure switch from the liquid line.

Note: Do not damage the pipe when removing the switch.


Installation



1. Install the pressure switch. Tightening torque 10.8 Nm.

2. Connect the connector.

3. Evacuate the system and fill the system. The amount of refrigerant is 750±50 g.

4. Check the tightness of the system.

5. Check the operation of the air conditioner.
