1. Checking the work.



a) Connect the battery to terminals 1 (+) and 2 (-) of the rheostat.

b) Connect a 3.4 W incandescent lamp to terminals 1 and 3 of the rheostat.

c) By turning the rheostat handle, check the change in the brightness of the lamp.

If the test results are negative, replace the rheostat.
