Bleeding the clutch hydraulic drive [Toyota Dyna Y50]

Note: Bleeding is performed after any disassembly of the hydraulic system (removing the master or slave cylinder, replacing the tubes) or if you suspect that air has entered the system.


1. Fill the reservoir with brake fluid.

2. Connect a vinyl tube to the drain plug and lower the other end of the tube into a container half filled with brake fluid.

3. Pump the clutch hydraulic drive.

a) Press the clutch pedal several times and, without releasing the pedal, loosen the drain plug until the fluid starts to flow out. Then tighten the drain plug again.

b) Repeat the procedure until no air bubbles are visible in the flowing liquid.
  • Tightening torque of the drain plug is 11 Nm
