Removing
1. Remove the gearbox.
Note: It is not necessary to drain the gearbox oil.
2. Remove the clutch cover assembly and clutch disc.
A) Place alignment marks on clutch cover and flywheel.
b) Loosen each set bolt one turn in turn to ensure that the spring is completely free of preload.
Clutch.
1 - Flywheel,
2 - Driven clutch disc,
3 - Release bearing,
4 - Clamp,
5 - Clutch release fork,
6 - Clutch cover assembly with diaphragm spring.
V) Turn out completely all adjusting bolts and remove a casing of coupling and a conducted disk of coupling.
Note: Do not drop the disc.
3. Remove release bearing and release fork.
A) Remove the clip and remove the release bearing.
b) Remove the clutch release fork and cover.
Checking details
1. Inspect the clutch disc for wear or damage and use a vernier caliper to measure the depth of the rivet heads.
- The minimum depth of the rivet heads is 0.3 mm
2. Examine a conducted disk of coupling and check up radial palpation.
- Maximum runout - 0.8 mm
Note: If there is excessive runout, replace the disc.
3. Inspect the flywheel by checking its runout.
- Maximum runout - 0.2 mm
Note: If there is excessive runout, replace the flywheel.
4. Examine the bearing of a primary shaft of a transmission.
While turning the bearing by hand, simultaneously apply force to it in the axial direction.
Note: If the bearing is seizing or showing excessive resistance, replace the bearing.
5. Using a caliper, measure the diaphragm spring and determine its wear in depth and width.
Limit:
- in depth - 0.6 mm
- in width - 5.0 mm
Note: If necessary, replace the clutch cover assembly with the diaphragm spring.
6. Check the release bearing. When turning the bearing by hand, apply force to it in the direction of rotation.
Note: If the bearing is seizing or showing increased resistance to rotation, replace the release bearing.
Note: The bearing is lubricated for life and does not require cleaning or lubrication.
Installation
1. Using a mandrel, install the clutch disc on the flywheel.
2. Install the clutch cover.
A) Align the marks made on the clutch cover and flywheel during disassembly.
b) Tighten the clutch cover mounting bolts in the sequence shown in the figure.
- Tightening torque - 19 Nm
3. Apply grease (brand NLGI No. 2) on the surface of the following parts:
Clutch release forks and release bearing at their points of contact.
Clutch release forks and slave cylinder rod at their points of contact.
At the ball joint point of the clutch release fork.
On the splines of the input shaft of the gearbox.
4. Apply MP type grease as shown.
5. Install boot, clutch release fork and release bearing.
6. Install the gearbox.
