Removal
Removal and installation of the torsion bar is carried out in the following order:
1. Disconnect the torsion bar from the center bracket.
2. Install the special tool on the torsion bar from the trunk lid hinge side as shown in the figure.
3. Using the special tool, press down on the torsion bar and disconnect the hinge element from the torsion bar.
4. Remove the torsion bar from the mounting hook as shown in the figure and release it slowly.
5. Disconnect the torsion bar from the bracket on the other side.
Installation
The torsion bar is installed in the reverse order of removal.
