Door hinges and locks: lubricate.

Lock cylinder: lubricate with general purpose grease.

Anti-corrosion coating of the bottom and hidden cavities: check.

Seat belt: check for damage.

Visual inspection of the bottom and body

When caring for the body, watch for damage to the paintwork and clean the underbody of the car more often.

Lubrication of locks

Lubricate all door, hood and tailgate locking devices.

Lubricate the latches, ratchets and pawls of the door locks with a general-purpose lubricant.

Visual control of seat belts

Note: The noise that accompanies the belt rolling up is normal. If the noise level is excessively high, the belt should be replaced. Do not use lubricant to eliminate the noise. The machine that rolls up the belt should not be disassembled, as this may cause the spring to jump out and cause injury.

Pull out the seat belt and check the webbing for torn fibres. Damage may be caused by, for example, pinching the belt or burning it with a cigarette.

If there are frayed areas, but no broken fibers, the belt does not need to be changed.

If the belt has a heavy stroke, check whether it has twists. For this, if necessary, the trim on the central pillar can be removed.

If the automatic belt rewinding device does not work, the belt must be replaced.

Clean the belt with soap and water only. Do not use solvents or chemical cleaners under any circumstances.
