2. Install the spring compression stroke limiter onto the piston rod.
3. Install the spring,
- a) Using the special tool, compress the spring.
- b) Install the spring on the strut. Note: Install the lower end of the spring into the groove of the lower seat of the strut.
- c) Install the upper vibration isolator
- d) Install the upper saddle.
- d) Install the dust seal and upper strut support.
- e) Using the special tool, hold the upper spring seat and install a new nut. Tightening torque 47 Nm.
- g) Pack the grease into the suspension support.
- c) Install the plug.
4. Install the shock absorber strut with the spring and tighten the three nuts. Tightening torque 64 Nm.
5. Connect the shock absorber strut to the steering knuckle.
- c) Apply engine oil to the nut threads.
- b) Install and tighten the two bolts and nuts. Tightening torque 255 Nm.
6. Install the brake hose and the speed sensor (ABS) wire to the rack.
Tightening torques:
- Hose mounting bolt: 29 Nm.
- Wiring harness mounting bolt: 5.4 Nm.
7. Install the front wheel and lower the vehicle. Tightening torque 103 Nm.
8 Check the front wheel alignment angles.
