2. Remove the engine protection.
3. (Models since 1996.) Remove the exhaust pipe.
- a) Unscrew the two bolts and remove the exhaust gas temperature sensor and gasket.
- b) Unscrew the two bolts and remove the springs and gasket.
- c) Remove the two bolts from the muffler inlet pipe bracket.
- d) Unscrew the two bolts and nuts and remove the muffler inlet pipe with the gasket.
4. (Models up to 96.) Loosen the lock nut.
- a) Remove the cotter pin and lock nut cap.
- b) Loosen the lock nut with the brake pedal depressed and unscrew it.
5. Disconnect the tie rod end.
- a) Remove the cotter pin and unscrew the nut.
- b) Using a puller, disconnect the steering rod end from the steering knuckle.

6. Disconnect the anti-roll bar from the lower arm.

7. Remove the bolt and two nuts and disconnect the lower ball joint from the lower arm.

8. (Models up to 96.) Except for models with automatic transmission (left side). Remove the lower arm.

(Models since 1996.) Disconnect the following parts:
- intermediate shaft No.2,
- discharge pipeline,
- return pipeline,
- pipeline clamp bracket.
9. (Models up to 96.) Models with automatic transmission (left side) Remove the cross beam.
- a) Disconnect the return hose from the tank and drain the working fluid.
- b) Disconnect the discharge and return lines.

- c) Apply alignment marks to the universal joint and the worm with the control valve.
- d) Disconnect the universal joint.

- d) Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector and remove the exhaust pipe.

- e) Disconnect the return hose.

- g) Place a jack under the gearbox.

- c) Remove the engine mount center support beam.
- i) Loosen the power steering oil cooler pipe clamp mounting bolt.

- k) Unscrew the nut and bolt of the rear engine mount.

- l) Place the jack under the crossbar.

- i) Unscrew the three bolts and remove the suspension cross member with the left lower arm.
10. (Models since 1996.) Remove the cross member and the engine mount center support member.
- a) Raise the engine. Loosen the bolt on the front side of the lower arm.
Note: Do not remove the bolt.
- b) Unscrew the two bolts and remove the engine mount central support beam guard.
- c) Remove the two plugs.
- d) Unscrew 5 bolts.
- d) Remove the three plugs.
- e) Unscrew the three bolts and remove the engine mount center support beam.
- g) Unscrew the bolt and two nuts.
- c) Place the jack under the cross beam.
- i) Unscrew 6 bolts and remove the cross beam assembly with the steering gear.
11. (Models up to 96.) Remove the left lower suspension arm.

(Models since 1996.) Remove the lower arm.
- a) Using a copper rod and a hammer, remove the bushing.
- b) Remove the bolt and disconnect the lower arm.
- c) Loosen the bolt and remove the bushing holder from the lower arm.
