Attention! Shock absorbers racks change only in pairs.
Removing
1. Raise the front of the car and place on stands. Remove the front wheels. Place a jack under the suspension arm.
2. Disconnect the hydraulic tube bracket from the rack.
3. On vehicles equipped with ABS, remove the wiring clamp bolt and disconnect the wiring harness from the speed sensor.
4. Turn away the specified nuts of fastening of a rack to a rotary knuckle and knock out bolts with a hammer and beard.
5. Disconnect the strut from the steering knuckle. Take care not to damage the boot of the inner CV joint, and also do not allow the knuckle to fall, as this will damage the brake hose.
6. While holding the top of the strut, unscrew the three nuts securing the suspension cap (arrows) and remove the rack from the wheel arch.
Examination
1. Check the strut housing for cracks or other visible damage.
2. Check the condition of the spring, the presence of coating cracks on the coils (leads to premature failure of the spring due to aging), hardening and damage on the spring insulating gasket.
3. If damage is found, disassemble the rack and replace damaged parts.
Installation
1. Working with two people, install the strut so that the studs fit into the holes in the cap and screw on the nuts.
2. Insert the strut flange into the steering knuckle, insert the bolts and tighten the nuts. Tighten the nuts to the specified torque.
3. Attach the hose bracket to the stand. Connect the connector to the speed sensor.
4. Install the wheel and lower the car.
5. Tighten the three top strut nuts.
