2. (For vehicles with ABS) Remove brake hose and speed sensor wire (ABS) from the rack.
3. Disconnect a rack from a rotary fist, having turned away bolts and nuts.
4. Remove the stand.
- A) Remove the three nuts from the top of the rack.
- b) Remove the spring strut.
5. Remove the spring.
- A) Using the special tool, compress the spring.
Attention: when compressing the spring, do not hook the special tool on the lower and upper coils of the spring. Also, be careful not to damage the lower spring seat.
- b) Install the bolt and two nuts on the bracket at the bottom of the stand and secure it in a vise.
- V) Using the special tool, hold the upper spring seat and loosen the nut.
- G) Remove the upper strut support, dust seal, upper spring seat, upper vibration isolator, spring, compression stroke limiter, lower vibration isolator.
Shock absorber check
Pulling and sinking the shock absorber rod, check that its stroke is smooth and there is no extraneous resistance or noise.
If defective, replace shock absorber.
