Removal and installation the lower control arm of the front suspension [Toyota Land Cruiser J100]

1. Set the parking brake. Loosen the nuts of the corresponding front wheel. Jack up the front of the car and place it on supports. Remove the wheel.

2. If equipped, remove the crankcase guard.

3. Remove the torsion bar (see section Removal and installation torsion bars).

4. Disconnect the stabilizer bar strut and disconnect the lower shock absorber mount from the lower suspension arm (see section Removal and installation front shock absorbers).

5. Disconnect the steering knuckle from the lower arm.



6. Loosen the bolts and nuts and remove the lever (refer to the accompanying illustration).

7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Tighten all fasteners to the required force.

Note: Tightening of axle bolts/nuts should be done after the vehicle has been lowered to the ground.
