Checking and replacing hoses in the engine compartment [Toyota Camry XV20]

High temperatures in the engine compartment can cause the material of the hoses to deteriorate and accelerate their wear. Regularly check the condition of the hoses in the engine compartment and the reliability of their fastenings.

Vacuum hoses

Check the condition of the vacuum hoses and connections. Often, a hose must be removed from the vehicle to be checked effectively.

Use a short piece of thin vacuum hose as a stethoscope to locate leaks in the vacuum system.

Fuel hoses

Check fuel hoses for damage or wear. Check hose connections for tightness.

Metal tubes
