Checking the operation of the folding mechanism
1. Turn the ignition switch to the "ACC" position.
2. Check the operation of the folding mechanism in different mirror positions (see table "Checking the operation of the folding mirror mechanism").
Initialization
Note: This procedure is performed with the window lift mechanism and the electric motor separated; if the mechanism worked after removal. This procedure may also be necessary when replacing glass guides.
1. Disconnect the window lift motor.
2. Connect the window motor and main switch connectors to the corresponding connectors on the wire harness.
3. Turn on the ignition, press the main switch six or more times within 4 or more seconds, and check that the motor armature rotates counterclockwise.
4. Connect the electric motor to the window lift mechanism.
Note: The motor armature must be in neutral position.
5. Install the window lift mechanism and door glass.
6. Connect the main switch to the wiring harness and turn on the ignition.
7. Move the glass to the upper and lower positions several times in the "MANUAL" mode.
8. Make sure that the window lift operates in the "AUTO" mode.
9. Check the operation of the window lifts.
Examination
Location of switches.
1 - mirror selection switch,
2 - mirror folding switch (models with folding mechanism),
3 - mirror position adjustment switch.

1. Check the continuity between the connector terminals at different positions of the door mirror control switch.
2. Check the conductivity between the connector terminals at different positions with the mirror folding switch in different positions.
3. Check the operation of the power mirrors by connecting different connector terminals to the positive or negative battery terminal and different positions of the door mirror control switch according to the table below.
