Removal the thermostat
1. Drain the coolant.
2. Disconnect the coolant hose from the radiator outlet pipe.
3. Unscrew the two nuts, remove the coolant inlet pipe, gasket and thermostat.
4. Remove the gasket from the thermostat.
Checking the Thermostat
Note: The thermostat is marked according to the valve opening temperature.
a) Immerse the thermostat in water and gradually heat the water.
b) Check the valve opening start temperature (80 - 84°C) and the full valve opening value (8 mm at 95°C).
c) Check the spring tension with the valve fully closed. If not, replace the thermostat.
Installing a thermostat
1. Install the thermostat and coolant inlet pipe.
a) Place a new gasket on the thermostat and install the thermostat with the valve facing outward as shown in the figure.
b) Secure the coolant inlet pipe with two nuts
- Tightening torque - 12 Nm
2. Connect the radiator outlet pipe to the coolant inlet pipe.
3. Fill with coolant (see above).
4. Start the engine and check for leaks.
