Removing the thermostat
1. Drain the coolant.
2. Disconnect the coolant hose from the radiator outlet.
3. Turn away two nuts, remove an inlet branch pipe of a cooling liquid, a lining and the thermostat.
4. Remove the gasket from the thermostat.
Thermostat check
Attention: the thermostat is marked according to the opening temperature of the valve.
A) Immerse the thermostat in water and gradually heat up the water.
b) Check valve opening temperature (80 - 84°С) and the value of the full opening of the valve (8 mm at 95°C).
V) Check the spring tension with the valve fully closed. If not, replace the thermostat.
Installing a thermostat
1. Install thermostat and coolant inlet.
A) Put a new gasket on the thermostat and install the thermostat with the valve facing out as shown.
b) Secure the coolant inlet pipe with two nuts
- Tightening torque - 12 Nm
2. Connect the radiator outlet to the coolant inlet.
3. Fill with coolant (see above).
4. Start the engine and check for leaks.
