Coolant temperature switch [Toyota Carina T190]

Place the bottom of the sensor in water, check the conductivity between the body and the terminal when the water temperature changes.

1. (Except 5A-FE). Conductivity test.

a) Conductivity exists at temperatures of 100°C and above.

b) There is no conductivity at temperatures of 95°C and below.



2. (For 2C) Conductivity test.

a) Conductivity exists at temperatures of 112°C and above.

b) There is no conductivity at temperatures of 107°C and below.

3. (For 2C) Checking the conductivity of the idle speed increase sensor when the fan is turned on.

a) Conductivity exists at temperatures of 77°C and above.

b) There is no conductivity at temperatures of 70°C and below.

4. Checking the conductivity of the fan sensor.

a) Conductivity exists at temperatures of 90°C and above.

b) There is no conductivity at temperatures of 83°C and below.
