The temperature sensor, depending on the version, is located either in the radiator or in the coolant inlet pipe. It turns on the fan when the coolant reaches a certain temperature. The temperature sensor must be checked if the electric fan does not turn on when the engine is hot. Test conditions: Thermostat and safety valve in the radiator cap must be in good condition. If there are malfunctions in these elements, the temperature sensor cannot turn on the fan, since it is not heated by the coolant.
Disconnect the plug from the temperature sensor.
Turn on the ignition. If the fan does not turn on, replace the temperature sensor.
Check the connection of the fan motor plug. Check the electrical wires, relay and electric motor according to the diagram.
Install a new temperature sensor with a new gasket.
Pour coolant into the system.
Start and warm up the engine. Leave it to idle until the fan turns on. Check coolant level.
