Resetting ABS system fault codes [Toyota Carina T190]

1. Turn on the ignition.

2. Short the T terminalswith and E ₁ diagnostic connector.

Note: This operation must be performed with the vehicle stationary.


3. Press the brake pedal eight or more times within 3 seconds to clear the fault codes stored in the ABS control unit memory.

4. Make sure that the indicator flashes correspond to the normal state code (interval 0.5 seconds).

5. Turn off the ignition.

6. Disconnect the T terminalswith and E ₁ diagnostic connector.

7. Make sure the ABS indicator goes out.
