3S-FE, 4A-FE. 4S-FE and 7A-FE
1. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
2. Connect the tachometer to the IG (-) connector of the diagnostic connector
3. Checking the rotation speed corresponding to switching off and on of the fuel supply control valve
- a) Increase the engine speed to at least 2500 rpm.
- b) Using a phonendoscope, check for the sound of the injectors.
- c) Check that after the throttle valve is released, the sound of the injectors disappears and then appears again.
Fuel supply activation: should occur at a rotation speed of 1450 rpm.
4. Disconnect the tachometer.
3S-GE
1. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
2. Check the rotation speed corresponding to turning the fuel supply control valve off and on.
- a) Disconnect the connector from the throttle position sensor.
- b) Short-circuit the "IDL" and "E2" terminals on the harness connector.

- c) Gradually increase the engine speed and monitor the position of the tachometer needle when turning the fuel supply off and on.
Note: The vehicle must be stationary and all additional electrical consumers must be switched off.
Speed of rotation corresponding to switching off (n₁) and switching back on (n₂) of the valve (turning the fuel supply off and on), rpm.
Note: Erase the memory or the fault code 41 will remain.
