Removal
1. Disconnect the control cable from the throttle valve sector or fuel injection pump lever.

2. Remove the engine start inhibit switch lever.
- a) Disconnect the throttle valve control rod from the switch lever.
- b) Unscrew the nut, remove the washer and the switch lever.
3. Remove the engine start inhibit switch.
- a) Using a screwdriver, loosen the locking nut.
- b) Unscrew the nut, remove the stopper and gasket.
- c) Unscrew the two bolts (two nuts) and remove the engine start prohibition switch.
4. (Except A540H) Remove the throttle control cable support plate.
5. Remove the valve block.
6. Disconnect the control cable from the gearbox housing.

Installation
1. Install the control cable into the gearbox housing.
Note:
- Do not damage the seal.
- During further work, do not rotate the outer sheath of the cable to avoid damaging it.
2. Install the valve block.
3. If the throttle control cable is new, install the stopper on the inner cable.
- a) Bend the control cable so that the bending radius is approximately 200 mm.
- b) Pull the inner cable until a slight resistance appears. Hold it in this position.
- c) Install the stopper at a distance of 0.8-1.5 mm from the end of the outer shell, as shown in the figure.
4. (Except A540H) Install the throttle control cable support plate.
5. Install the engine start inhibit switch.
- a) Install the engine start prohibition switch on the shaft.
- b) Install the gasket, nut retainer and nut.
- c) Tighten the nut. Tightening torque 6.9 Nm.
- d) Temporarily install the engine start inhibit switch lever.
- d) Turn the lever clockwise until it stops, then turn it counterclockwise three notches.
- e) Remove the engine start inhibit switch lever.
- g) Align the groove and the neutral base line (see Preliminary Checks section).
- h) Install and tighten the two bolts. Tightening torque 5.4 Nm.
- i) Install the nut and lock it.
- k) Install the engine start inhibit switch lever with the gasket and tighten the nut.
6. Connect the automatic transmission control rod to the engine start prohibition switch lever.
5. Adjust the throttle control cable.
6. Road test the car.
