Replacement
1. Raise the car, remove the transmission shield and drain the oil.

2. Mark the position of the propeller shaft flange relative to the transfer case flange and disconnect the shaft.
3. Unscrew the flange nut, holding the flange with a crowbar by the screwed-in bolts.

4. Remove the flange using a puller.
5. Carefully pry up and remove the seal.
6. Lubricate the lips of the new seal with transmission oil and press the seal in using a mandrel or by striking it through a wooden block.
7. Install the flange and tighten the nut to the specified torque.
8. Further assembly is performed in the reverse order. Align the marks on the flanges applied during disassembly.
